A good marriage doesn't just happen. It takes work! Some people say that marriage is a 50-50 partnership, but I disagree. A good marriage is both partners giving 100% of themselves to make their marriage work effectively. And a good marriage takes LOVE, God-given love.
David's weapons against the giant give us some personal insight and encouragement in how to handle the giant of debt. He took 5 smooth stones, which we see as 5 powerful weapons to use in destroying our giant. Interesting to note the stones were smooth and taken from the brook. The brook represents the Word of God and the condition of the stones refers to the fact over a long period of time the rough edges were worn away. The Word is truth that over time has been proven and powerful.
We are on the road again en route to the great state of Montana. We have just completed a three week ministry tour through the state of Washington and Oregon. The time went by so quickly. We arrived in Oregon just as the cherry blossoms were coming out and now allergy season is in full swing. Larry woke up one morning sneezing with little pockets under his eyes. They looked like itty-bitty suitcases packed full of pollen. Poor guy!
Greetings from Seattle, Washington! We are on the move!
Last week, we were in the Portland area. While there, we had the privilege of staying at Frank and LaVonne Wallace's (Larry's cousins) home in Washougal. On Friday, they had a family gathering where we were able to renew acquaintances with several relatives we haven't seen for nearly 20 years. There was a lot of laughter and humor in the room. Now I know where Larry's sense of humor came from! HA! There is nothing more pleasurable than being around happy people!

Ahhhhh....spring time in Oregon and Washington is delightful! There are blossoms everywhere I look. The fruit trees are showing off their blossoms and are so fragrant. I recall the first time I was in Oregon- it was April in the late '60's-oh, that makes me feel old!
Let's see...where am I today? We have crossed so many miles, been to so many places, and have accomplished so many things in the past week, I have to stop to catch my breath and actually think. For this blonde, that's a real chore! HA!
The drive from Phoenix, Arizona, to Missoula, Montana, was beautiful.

Greetings from Salt Lake City, Utah! Arizona is now a vapor! We drove out of Peoria, AZ, last Sunday afternoon after our Sunday service. I asked Larry to stop and take a photo of our last Arizona sunset among the cacti. When I saw his photo, I said, "Wow! That could make a postcard!"
The sun is setting in beautiful Arizona. We only have three more sunsets here and we will be off and running once again. We plan to leave Peoria, AZ, after church on Sunday afternoon and drive as far as Las Vegas and then on to Missoula, MT.
Greetings from Apache Junction Arizona!
It has been another action packed week. We had a great service last Wednesday night in Gilbert, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. Rick Oller is pastor of Sonrise Assembly of God. When he introduced us, he told the people, "I remember Larry and Gloria coming to our town in Pratt, Kansas, in 1967 or '68. I was just a little kid."

Greetings! It is spring! Here in the Phoenix area, the spring flowers are in full bloom. I love it! Back in parts of the Midwest, however, folks are "celebrating" spring by shoveling out what they hope is the last hurrah of winter! I am glad I am here instead.
