On the road again! We were in Hugoton, Kansas last week and had wonderful services at the United Methodist church with Pastor Becky Davidson. What wonderful pastor and blessed time! We were thrilled at those who responded to pray a prayer of commitment and rededication to the Lord. We have been coming to the Hugoton since the early 1970s so it was great to see friends who have come to Christ under the Lundstrom Ministries still actively serving the Lord. That is always a thrill!

"It was a joy to meet both of you during your recent visit to the Hugoton United Methodist Church.  Your message in song was powerful, and as pastor, I have heard only positive comments about the worship experience.  We look forward to having you back at a future date.  May God bless your ministry in even more profound ways as you keep traveling for Jesus!"

Blessings,

Rev. Becky Davison

"It was a pleasure to have you at church last Sunday.  I don't remember the date or year the first time I saw you but I know it had to be between 1970-1974.  A number of our congregation also remembered seeing you during that time as well.  You are truly blessed with a gift and we are blessed that you were able to share your gift with us.  May you be blessed with the ability to continue your travels to share your gift with others for many years to come. "We are thanking God our Father in heaven for taking time to visit our small town, and helping us to reconnect with the Holy Spirit with your music, message and fellowship .. it's always great to having you with us especially with Larry's jokes!

 I love your message of assimilation versus separation this morning. Thank you for your dedication to go where we and most of us cannot go in doing the Lord Jesus' great commission. The Lord bless your coming and going both now and forevermore."

"It was such a joy to have Larry and Gloria back in Hugoton, Kansas, at United Methodist Church.  I first met them when I was a counselor at the Lundstrom crusade here in the 70's.  We are just thrilled and amazed they are still out there singing, preaching and touching lives!  I really don't think people understand the miles and trials they have encountered along the way to bring the Gospel to small communities like ours but they continue to do so with joy.  Many lives were touched through their ministry here in Hugoton and we are so thankful they came!"

From Hugoton, the wind blew us on to Wagner, South Dakota where we ministered Sunday at the Wagner Theatre.  Again, it was thrilling to see those make decisions for Christ. We love going to large churches, but have a heart for small churches and rural communities as they also are hungering after God and looking for answers.

It was especially thrilling to be with Pastor Scott and Julie Alderink.  Scott gave his heart to Christ in one of our services at the Wagner Community Church in 2001, and his wife at the armory in 2003, and now they are pastoring Lighthouse Ministries.

This ambitious couple owns Booms Restaurant and also pastors the Lighthouse Ministries.  They have passion and energy!!!

"It was really exciting to have Larry and Gloria back with us and to see God move in the service through their music and preaching. Those who responded were from the ages of 8-80 years old. It's always wonderful to see how God can work in the hearts of everyone, no matter their age. We hope to have them back with us again!"

Pastor Scott Alderink

On Facebook this morning, a mother who attended the morning service posted, "I was so blessed on Sunday to be at Lighthouse Ministries with Larry and Gloria and to see my two daughters step over to receive Christ."

"We loved seeing these small communities and their ways of advertising!

Planning ahead… if you're traveling, stop in one of these communities!

"But whatever you do, find the God-centered, Christ-exalting, Bible-saturated passion of your life, and find your way to say it and live for it and die for it. And you will make a difference that lasts. You will not waste your life." – John Piper

{Chuckle/Reflection}

This gave us a good chuckle when we saw it!  What kind of coffee drinker are you?

{Recipe}

5 Cup Bars

1 stick margarine/butter

1 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers

1 cup coconut

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup nuts

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Melt the stick of margarine/butter in a 9 x 13 pan.  Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over the melted butter.  Sprinkle with the coconut, chocolate chips and nuts.  Heat the sweetened condensed milk in the can in a pan of hot water until it would flow easily and then pour it over the bars.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Watch closely and do not over-bake!

{Household Hint}

 If your new shoes are to tight put the nozzle of your blow dryer into shoe and turn on low. When shoe gets warm, stuff with paper or socks to stretch it.
